The woodland is mainly composed of 43-year-old Sitka spruce and Douglas fir, but has been impacted by recent storms, resulting in some windblown trees. The property has direct access from the public road and is part of a larger portfolio of woodlands in Aberdeen and east Aberdeenshire. The area is known for its high-quality soils and is a popular location for both commercial and amenity woodlands. The woodland is situated within 30 miles of Aboyne, home to the largest commercial sawmill in Aberdeenshire, and offers a range of outdoor activities and scenic views.
